An engineering record of a geodesic dome build. The frames show a bare frame at sunset, a finished dome with a spire and a cluster of domes against the city. Vehicles and crew at the base give the scale.
An archive page. We show what the photographs recorded, and we do not claim a scope of work that the sources do not support.
01 / What the frames show
The frame is assembled from repeating triangular modules and stands without internal posts, so the whole volume inside stays usable. In the next frame the same type of structure is already clad and carries a spire. The third frame shows the cluster of domes in full, with the city and Khan Shatyr behind.

02 / What a dome is for on site
A dome covers an event where there is no building: it becomes a hall, a stage or a pavilion on a bare site. The same lighting, sound and video go inside it as into an ordinary hall.

Not confirmed
- What event the domes were built for and who the client was. The shoot is dated and tied to a place, but the archive does not name the event.
