Three days of shooting at the Medeu high-altitude rink. The frames show a truss stage with a roof, ground support towers, PA stacks and a wall of searchlights along the whole stadium bowl. A lit balloon hangs above the stage.
An archive page. We show what the photographs recorded, and we do not claim a scope of work that the sources do not support.
01 / What the frames show
The stage is built on truss, with a roof and ground support towers at the sides. The PA stands in stacks at the edges of the stage and on the scaffold. The lighting is laid out in two layers: fixtures on the stage itself, and a symmetrical row of searchlights around the bowl, which is what produces the vertical fan of beams in every evening frame.

02 / Why this shoot matters
This is the earliest work in the archive and the largest site: the open bowl of a high-altitude stadium. The shoot produced nine frames, and they are used across the site, including the vertical frame on the home page.
